Areas of Specialty
Solar system dynamics, zodiacal cloud structure, small body and interplanetary dust particle dynamics, debris disk modeling, numerical simulations.
Research Interests
My research is focused on exploring the dynamics of small solar system bodies from a theoretical and computational perspective. In particular, I am interested in investigating the origin, evolution, and structure of the zodiacal cloud by modeling the orbital evolution of its constituent dust particles. I am also interested in the study of debris disks around other stars.
Biography
After receiving my PhD in Astronomy under the supervision of Carl Murray from Queen Mary (University of London) in 1999, I spent a year as a Research Associate in the Department of Planetary Sciences, University of Arizona. I moved to the Astronomy Department at UF as a Postdoctoral Associate in 2000 and was promoted to my current position as Assistant Scientist in 2003.
